When we launched in 2014, our aim was to change the conversation around sustainability. Rather than focus on doom, gloom and finger-wagging, we have been bringing to life the inspiring tales of people who are designing new, exciting ways for us all to live, work and play – in ways that are good for the planet and everyone who lives on it.
Telling those stories on our website was fascinating, humbling and rewarding. But now we want even more people to hear those stories, which is why we’ve agreed a new partnership with our friends at Vice Media.
Vice are going to launch a new channel, Vice Impact. And while Vice focuses on sharing powerful stories of environmental and social impact with a global audience, Collectively will explore how collaboration can drive the world towards more sustainable ways of living.
Because – let’s face it – the job’s far from done. And more than ever, it feels to us that it’s only through new, radical forms of collaboration that we’re going to make change happen fast enough.
We have some incredible corporate partners and collaborator organisations on board (including Unilever, BT, Google, Marks & Spencer, the UN Foundation and the World Economic Forum), alongside an amazing network of innovators, influencers and beyond. Great ideas can come from anywhere in terms of how we make the most of this amazing opportunity.
That’s where you come in. How do you think collaboration can accelerate change towards a better world? What do you think could be achieved if some of the world’s biggest multinationals truly set aside their competitive instincts for a moment and worked together to make their influence count, for the good of the planet and the people on it? And how can Collectively help make that happen?
We already have some exciting ideas, and over the next month we’re inviting our partners to bring theirs to the table. But we’d love to hear from you too. We’ll consider all suggestions, and then decide where to take things. We’ll also share what we’ve learned with you.
Whatever shape our new journey takes, it’s going to be a different version of Collectively – but it’s also going to be an incredible ride. We’re genuinely excited about it, as it means working closely with our community and meeting new people with the drive and the ideas to make the world a better place – which is exactly what we set out to do.
Let’s get talking.
