Ethical fashion label Birdsong like to do things differently. And that’s why we love them. They only source ethically manufactured clothing from women’s organisations, charities and community groups, and between 50-85 per cent of the revenue from each sale then goes back to these organisations.
Plus, anyone whose motto is ‘no sweatshops, no Photoshop’ gets our vote; Birdsong have promised never to digitally alter the appearance of any of their models, which is just hugely refreshing in today’s world of tricks and tweaks.
Now, Birdsong wants to keep growing and continue offering ‘slow fashion’-focused, ethical choices for consumers. They’re asking for people’s help by launching a crowdfunding investment campaign on Crowdcube, aiming to raise a total of £75,000. The money will allow Birdsong to scale-up its tech operations and develop its own brand line.
